Teaching Practicum 1

This is Tanzila Afrin; 

I am a TESOL student at BRAC Institute of Language (BIL) sister concern of BRAC University. Throughout my program at the university I have participated at several practicum processes at BIL. During this process I have learnt from different educational realities that given me the necessary experience to work with diverse kind of students inside the classroom.

In this teaching practicum course, I have acquired major pedagogical skills like classroom management, organization, self-criticism, leadership, teaching, testing and assessing, between others. The teaching practicum represents a perfect opportunity to get pedagogical competences that can only be acquired inside the classroom. It is most important, to become a proficient English teacher with outstanding capacity to motivate students, total promotion of English as a foreign/second language inside the classroom and frequent use of technology as a teaching tool, making possible to respond to the nowadays teaching challenges.
